You probably think a hi-fashion, hi-glam event is an easy affair to handle. You probably also think that all you need to do is look pretty and flaunt your best smile, among other things! Well, it's time for a reality check. There's a certain etiquette that has to be followed.

The Page 3 gang is not likely to tell you on your face if you're doing something that's considered uncouth or downmarket, but knowing their penchant for gossip, they might just talk behind your back! Here are a few tips on appearing cool, Page 3 style..
DO's
1. Make sure you're fashionably late. Reason: Walking in when the rest are already in is sure to make you the cynosure of all eyes. The thing about entries is that they have to be well-timed, well-choreographed and longlasting in public memory! "If you're someone who walks very quickly, you need to understand that a quick entry is no entry at all! Also, what's the point of entering fashionably late, if they're going to miss seeing you walk in? So walk slow, preferably with a good date and chat up everyone you meet," model Upen Patel lends some P3 gyaan.
"Also, when you walk in on time, it just means you have no where else to go! And if you come early, you have to leave early also. Unless you're one of those socialites who're there till the end of the party. That's just not cool!" he explains. 2. Once you've made your entry, make sure you head straight to the bar. A P3 person without a drink in hand is just not the real McCoy! You need to remember though, you can't have your drink... and drink it too... err, you get that dont'cha?! "It's important you understand that you're not there to polish off the vodka!" laughs party-hearty Kishen Mulchandani. "In fact the worst thing you can do is to ask for drinks that are not being served. If they tell you once that there's no red wine, stop asking for it. And yes, constant refills and bugging the waiters, is just very... Page 10 maybe, not Page 3!" he laughs. 3. When speaking to someone, make it a point to keep scanning the room for other people. It's soooo Page 3 to not maintain eye contact with the person you're chatting up. And yes, the glass of wine in hand will not swirl itself! Do it at all times, effortlessly and smoothly! "That glass of wine is considered part of the comfort zone! And every friend needs attention... so give your wine glass that much," laughs actor Riya Sen.
DONT's
1. You do not, DO NOT tell everyone you meet that they're looking nice and that they've lost weight! When you say those things it just means you haven't been to too many of these dos!" Riya laughs. 2. "The one other thing that some partygoers tend to do is to jump in when people are taking snaps! Who wants you in the picture anyway? And then we have to just smile!" Riya continues. The rule: "Do not pose in a picture you're not wanted! she says. 3. "No piling-on please. Once you've said the congenial hellos, move on. Make way for the interesting people," says TV host Mandira Bedi. 4. Don't forget to carry that handbag. "Part of being Page 3 is to be clicked all the time. And a handbag ensures you're featured on every trend story," says Mandira.
